Dimethylamine is mainly used as rubber vulcanization accelerator, a leather dehairing agent, and a solvent in the pharmaceutical, pesticide, and textile industries. It can be utilized in dyes, explosives, and propellants, as well as a raw material for dimethylhydrazine, N, N- dimethylformamide and other organic intermediates. The amount of dimethylamine consumed by generating dimethylformamide accounts for 44.7% of its total consumption, with consumption of pesticides for 38.9% and consumption of pharmaceuticals for 16.4%. Dimethylamine is an important intermediate of pesticides and can be used to prepare fungicides, insecticides, and so on.
